About us

The Paris Human Rights International
Film Festival (FIFDH Paris)

Over the past 12 years Association ALLIANCE has been organizing annualy the Paris Human Rights International Film Festival at the Nouveau Latina Cinema (Paris 4ème -M°Hôtel de Ville/Châtelet). Paris Human Rights International Film Festival is today renown as the most prominent cultural event on human rights in France.

Dedicated to any kind of public, the festival aims to raise awareness of images and promote film education especially among young people. The Festival also contributes to bring unknown movies to the public attention. It thus offers to the Parisian people a great opportunity to screen original brand-new documentaries that usually remains out of the traditional distribution networks.

The FIFDH Paris is organized with the support of the Mairie de Paris, the Conseil régional d’Ile-de-France, the Acsé and the Secours Catholique-Caritas France.

FIFDH Thursdays

Every third Thursday at 8pm, the FIFDH Paris team organises a screening-debate on an unreleased film with the presence of its director. Further information here.

The Human Rights Films Network

Since 2004, the various festivals over the world have been merged into a single coalition - the Human Rights Films Network (HRFN). This network now brings together more than twenty festivals worldwide, some of which are backed by major international human rights organizations such as Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch.

The network seeks to broad the distribution of films which tackle important human rights issues and supports the emergence of new film festivals on human rights. The network thus offers advice on programming, fundraising and overall organization, especially in developing countries.

Every year, the HRFN attracts a more than 200,000 people worldwide. The full list of festivals is available at
